Creating a Campus/Community Coalition to Reduce High-Risk Drinking University of Lincoln and the City of Lincoln, NE Tired of receiving neighborhood complaints regarding students' off-campus partying, the University and City of Lincoln banded together to form a Campus/Community Coalition to address alcohol-related problems in neighborhoods near the school. The Coalition is part of a larger effort called NU Directions that was established to reduce high-risk drinking both on the campus and throughout the city. Learn how the Lincoln Police Department used electronic mapping to identify areas that receive the most complaints to enable a focused effort by their "party patrol." Also, find out how bringing neighbors and students together at roundtable sessions brought about some surprising results.
